2006 to 2017- Downtown Rising Ombudsman for SLC and SLC Chamber of Commerce
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining Community Coordination Teams for all major construction projects taking place in the Central Business District of Salt Lake City; resolving issues and concerns arising from the community impacted by construction; communicating construction developments and progress to the City Council, Mayor’s Office and various community and business groups; assisting in facilitating the development and implementation of the initiatives defined in the Downtown Rising Master Plan and the “Downtown In Motion” Master Transportation Plan. 2013- 2016- Construction Ombudsman for the Utah Performing Arts Center and 111 Office Tower projects in downtown SLC. Responsible for maintaining relationships with and communications to the businesses and property owners adjacent to and near the sites of the two large projects occurring on Main Street/100 South; attending weekly construction meetings for both projects; send out regular email updates and announcements of upcoming construction events to the community; organize and facilitate bi-monthly community meetings for construction teams to report on progress and future activity; address and resolve constituent issues and/or complaints related to one or both projects; assist, by all means possible, in reducing construction impacts in order to preserve a healthy business environment throughout the course of the projects.
